Tuesday, September 8th -- Morning EK class orientation at Hogarth from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Afternoon PK class orientation at Hogarth from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Morning CPG class orientation at Hogarth from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Wednesday, September 9th -- Classes start for EK and PK students.

Thursday, September 10th -- Classes start for CPG students.

Thursday, September 24th -- Project Nature's Mary Doane presents The Flying Tortoise.

Monday, September 28th -- Project Nature's Mary Doane presents The Flying Tortoise.

Tuesday, October 6th -- First Sharing Day. The EK and PK children will have Sharing Day the first Tuesday of each month through Tuesday, May 4, 2010.

Monday, October 12th -- No School - Columbus Day.

Wednesday, October 28th -- EK and PK Halloween Parties.

Friday, October 30th -- CPG Halloween Party.

Wednesday, November 4th -- EK, PK and CPG meet at the Leddy Center at 8:45 a.m. for the 9:00 a.m. performance of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. There is no PK Wednesday afternoon, November 4th.

Thursday, November 5th -- PK meets from noon to 2:30 p.m. to make up the September 23rd class that was canceled due to the bee swarm.

Friday, November 6th -- No School - CPG meeting on Wednesday, November 4th and Thursday, November 5th this week.

Tuesday, November 10th -- EK in-school special event: a visit with Patricia Bade, Keeper of the Spirit/The Owl Woman.

Wednesday, November 11th -- No School - Veterans' Day.

Wednesday, November 25th through Friday, November 27th -- No School - Thanksgiving Recess.

Thursday, December 17th -- CPG Christmas Party.

Monday, December 21st -- EK and PK Christmas Parties.

Wednesday, December 23rd through Friday, January 1st -- No School - Holiday Break

Tuesday, January 5th -- Toy Sharing Day. (EK and PK)

Friday, January 8th -- Toy Sharing Day. (CPG)

Friday, January 15th -- Parent Conferences at Hogarth from 7:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Please call in early January to schedule an appointment.

Monday, January 18th -- No School - Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Thursday, January 21st -- Project Nature's Mary Doane presents The Emperor's Egg. (CPG)

Wednesday, February 3rd -- Project Nature's Mary Doane presents The Emperor's Egg. (PK)

Monday, February 8th -- Project Nature's Mary Doane presents The Emperor's Egg. (EK )

Tuesday, February 9th -- EK and PK Valentine's Parties. (In the event of a weather-related school closing, the parties will be held on Wednesday, February 10th.)

Thursday, February 11th -- CPG Valentine's Party. (In the event of a weather-related school closing the party will be held on Friday, February 12th.)

Wednesday, February 17th -- Hearing testing done by Exeter Hospital at Hogarth.

Monday, February 22nd through Friday, February 26th - No School - Winter Vacation.

Monday, March 8th -- EK hearing testing, rescheduled from February. CPG children who missed the February testing are welcome to come between 9:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. to be tested.

Tuesday, March 9th -- EK and PK school pictures.

Thursday, March 11th -- CPG school pictures.

Thursday, March 25th -- PK makes up the March 16th cancellation today from noon until 2:30 p.m.

Friday, March 26th -- Project Nature's Mary Doane presents Sail Away Little Boat (CPG)

Thursday, April 1st -- EK makes up the March 15th cancellation today from noon until 3 p.m.

Friday, April 2nd -- CPG Easter Party.

Monday, April 12th -- No PK class. Andrea attends a PIRC workshop. EK will meet as scheduled today.

Thursday, April 15th -- PK makes up the April 12th cancellation today from noon until 2:30 p.m.

Thursday, April 22nd -- EK makes up the March 16th cancellation today from noon until 3 p.m.

Monday, April 26th through Friday, April 30th -- No School -- Spring Vacation.

Wednesday, May 19th -- No School - Parent Conferences at Hogarth from 7:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Please call in early May to schedule an appointment.

Tuesday, May 25th -- EK and PK children will participate in a Spring Sing at the Rockingham County Nursing Home. Our little concert starts at 6:30 p.m., and shouldn’t last more than a half-hour. (If that!) The nursing home is located on North Road in Brentwood , about 8 minutes from Hogarth. You should park behind the building and enter through the main doors in back. We will be singing in the Atrium, which is straight across from those main back doors. If you arrive by 6:20 p.m., that will give us plenty of time to get the children organized. (NOTE: The CPG children are not participating in the Spring Sing. Because they attend school only 5 hours per week, there just aren't enough hours in the school day for them to rehearse without cutting back on important curriculum and play time. The last thing I want to do is have music be a tedious, unpleasant or stressful experience for them!)

Wednesday, May 26th -- Last day of school for EK and PK students. EK children will celebrate the last day with a waffle breakfast party. PK children will celebrate the last day with a pizza lunch party.

Friday, May 28th -- Last day of school for CPG students. CPG children will celebrate the last day with a waffle breakfast party.
