Tuesday, September 7th -- Morning EK class orientation at Hogarth from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Afternoon PK class orientation at Hogarth from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. CPG class orientation at Hogarth from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Wednesday, September 8th -- Classes start for EK and PK students.

Thursday, September 9th -- Classes start for CPG students.

Tuesday, October 5th -- First EK and PK Sharing Day. The EK and PK children will have Sharing Day the first Tuesday of each month through Tuesday, May 3, 2011.

Thursday, October 7th -- First CPG Sharing Day. The CPG children will have Sharing Day the first Thursday of each month through Thursday, May 5, 2011.

Monday, October 11th -- No School - Columbus Day.

Wednesday, October 27th -- EK and PK Halloween Parties.

Friday, October 29th -- CPG Halloween Party.

Thursday, November 11th -- No School - Veterans' Day.

Wednesday, November 24th through Friday, November 26th -- No School - Thanksgiving Recess.

Thursday, December 16th -- CPG Christmas Party.

Tuesday, December 21st -- EK and PK Christmas Parties.

Thursday, December 23rd through Friday, December 31st -- No School - Holiday Break

Tuesday, January 4th -- Toy Sharing Day. (EK and PK)

Thursday, January 6th -- Toy Sharing Day. (CPG)

Friday, January 14th -- Parent Conferences at Hogarth from 7:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Please call in early January to schedule an appointment.

Monday, January 17th -- No School - Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Monday, February 8th -- Project Nature's Mary Doane presents The Emperor's Egg. (EK )

Thursday, February 10th -- CPG Valentine's Parties. (In the event of a weather-related school closing, the party will be held on Friday, February 11th.)

Monday, February 14th -- EK and PK Valentine's Parties. (In the event of a weather-related school closing the party will be held on Tuesday, February 15th.)

Monday, February 21st through Friday, February 25th - No School - Winter Vacation. (Dates to be confirmed.)

Wednesday, April 20th -- EK and PK Easter Parties.

Friday, April 22nd -- CPG Easter Party.

Monday, April 25th through Friday, April 29th -- No School -- Spring Vacation. (Dates to be confirmed.)

Wednesday, May 18th -- No School - Parent Conferences at Hogarth from 7:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Please call in early May to schedule an appointment.

Tuesday, May 24th -- (Date and time to be confirmed.) EK and PK children will participate in their annual Spring Sing at the Rockingham County Nursing Home. Our little concert starts at 6:30 p.m., and shouldn’t last more than a half-hour. (If that!) The nursing home is located on North Road in Brentwood , about 8 minutes from Hogarth. You should park behind the building and enter through the main doors in back. We will be singing in the Atrium, which is straight across from those main back doors. If you arrive by 6:20 p.m., that will give us plenty of time to get the children organized.

Wednesday, May 25th -- Last day of school for EK and PK students. EK children will celebrate the last day with a waffle breakfast party. PK children will celebrate the last day with a pizza lunch party.

Friday, May 27th -- Last day of school for CPG students. CPG children will celebrate the last day with a waffle breakfast party.

Miscellaneous Information

· We may be taking 2 staff development days at some point during the school year. Dates to be announced.

· Doors open for EK at 8:05 a.m., for CPG at 8:20 a.m., and for PK at 11:50 a.m. If you arrive early, please wait in your car for the teacher to signal the start of class. If the parking area is full, please pull over to the side of the road and wait for it to clear out before entering. Please pick your child up from school within the dismissal period outlined below. Late pick-ups are extremely inconveniencing to the staff.

· EK meets M T W — Drop off from 8:05 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. and pick up from 11:05 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.

· PK meets M T W — Drop off from 11:50 a.m. to noon and pick up from 2:20 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

· CPG meets Th F — Drop off from 8:20 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and pick up from 10:50 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

· If your child will arrive late or be absent, or if someone other than yourself or a person designated on your pick-up list will be picking up your child, please call 679-2097 and inform Andrea. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL YOUR CHILD BE RELEASED WITHOUT PRIOR AUTHORIZATION.
