Below are some of the songs we sing at Hogarth. We may not learn all of them in a given year, but we will learn many of them. (The) Bear Went Over the Mountain First verse only. Bie Mir Bist Du Schoen We sing the chorus and one of the verses. The children, however, listen to this Andrew Sisters' version during playtime and are familiar with it. (And often request that I play the CD!) Clementine We sing most, but not all of the verses found at this link. Coconut We don't actually sing this song, but we do dance to the Harry Nilsson version a lot over the course of the school year. Daisy Bell (Bicycle Built for Two) We sing the chorus only, beginning with the line, Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do! Do Re Mi We sing the chorus only. Down by the Station We sing slightly different lyrics, but the tune is right on. Funiculi Funicula We sing slightly different lyrics, but the tune is right on. Goodnight, Irene We sing the chorus only and verses not found here. Happy Days are Here Again We sing only the chorus. Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes How Much is that Doggie in the Window? I'm Just Wild About Mary (Harry) We sing only the chorus of the Mary version. (My little dog is named Mary, which is why we learn this song.) I'm Looking Over a Four Leaf Clover I've Been Working on the Railroad In the Good Old Summertime We sing only the last verse. Irish Lullaby We sing only the chorus. Let It Snow Here's a techno rendering you may enjoy. Your little one should get a kick out of listening with you! My Gal Sal This classic American song was written in 1905 by Paul Dresser, one of the Tin Pan Alley composers. We sing the chorus only. Over the River We sing the first two and last two verses. We also sing about going to Grandmother's house, not Grandfather's house. Pirate Chorus From The Pirates of Penzance by Gilbert and Sullivan.
